Our
methodical and iterative
approach to planning and design
makes us truly unique. We listen
to you. We take the time to
understand what you like and
what you envision your dream
home to be. We read between the
lines. We provide options. We
explore alternatives. We provide
guidance and advice. Because we
always look ahead, our plans are
strategic in nature. This
greatly reduces the likelihood
of unanticipated issues that
often arise when details are not
identified and addressed in
advance. We are also flexible.
We understand that at times you
may change your mind. We do our
best to allow you the room to
refine your vision so that when
the project is finished, your
expectations are not only met,
but exceeded.
Our approach includes 5 stages: |
|
|
|
1.
Initial Meeting |
We will meet with you at your
home to discuss in detail every
aspect of your project. We use a
consultative and collaborative
approach to help you define your
vision for the end product. We
take the time to explain the
process, timeline, and answer
any questions you may have. We
take photos and measurements of
the existing spaces and document
any issues that are relevant to
the planning process.
|
|
2.
Estimate |
Our
estimates are among the most
detailed and precise in the
industry. We take the time to
carefully account for, and
appropriately price, each item
involved in the construction
phase. The comprehensive and
detailed nature of our estimates
ensures that the likelihood of
surprises at the end of the
project is greatly reduced. Out
of respect to our clients’ time,
in most cases we will provide
our estimates within 10 business
days from the time of the
initial meeting. We will meet
with you in person to present
our estimate. This allows us to
answer any questions you may
have or make modifications to
the project.
|
|
3.
Planning |
As soon as
you approve the estimate, we
begin planning the construction
phase. This involves breaking
down the work into its various
components and determining the
sequence of the individual
phases (plumbing, electrical,
drywall, cabinetry, painting,
etc.). This process also
establishes the timeline for the
completion of the project. We
will meet with you to review the
construction plan and answer any
questions you may have.
|
|
4.
Construction |
Once you
approve the construction plan,
we begin the work on the
agreed-upon date. We recognize
that with remodeling projects,
we will be guests in your home.
As such, we commit to keeping a
clean worksite, being respectful
of your time, space and privacy.
We will ensure that our presence
is as unobtrusive as possible,
and we will do our best to
accommodate your schedule while
respecting the project timeline.
We provide oversight and
supervision of our
sub-contractors and are
personally responsible for their
timeliness, conduct, and quality
of work.
|
|
5.
Final Review/Inspection |
Once the work is completed, we
will do a detailed walk-through
with you to ensure everything
meets your expectations and that
we answer any questions or
concerns you may have. We do not
consider the project complete
until you are absolutely
satisfied with the results. If
an inspection is required, we
will schedule it accordingly and
will be onsite to meet with the
inspector to finalize the
approval process. |
